Wild Kesar mango (Saffron color) popularly known as "The Queen of Mangoes" originates from the Gir region of Gujarat, India. Wild kesar trees are old seeded trees (heirloom) and gives fruits 100+ years in their lifespan.

Wild Kesar mangoes are known for their unique & delicious taste, which is a balance of sweet and tangy with a hint of acidity. They also have a rich, creamy texture and a golden-orange color. The word "kesar" means saffron in Hindi, and the fruit's color is similar to saffron. Kesar mangoes are also more aromatic than other mango varieties, and their fragrance can linger on your fingers after eating.

It is named after the forest of Gujrat & Maharastra Zone. Most of these species are found in nature as wild mangoes. It was discovered in the early 1930s and gained popularity for its unique sweet aroma and bright orange color.
